Production and technological processes in the RUBIN Factory meet the best available techniques and practices in the “Glassware” sector.
In the plant was developed and implemented a system for environmental management. This system regulates the procedure, actions and responsibilities for training, exchange of information, management of documents and records, taking preventive and corrective actions, the efficient use of electricity, fuel, raw materials and auxiliary materials, the prevention and control of emergency situations.
RUBIN Factory performs regular self-monitoring of emissions into the air, waste and groundwater. The noise level is periodically monitored and measured. Waste is managed in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements.
The process of monitoring of emissions is assigned to the accredited laboratories.
In order to reduce and limit the dust emission formed during unloading, storage, dosing and transportation of raw materials, in 2013-2014 at the Material workshop was installed and commissioned a Dust collection system containing 8 nos. of sleeve filters.
On the territory of the RUBIN Factory were built five wells for groundwater monitoring. They are used to monitor the content of hazardous and/or harmful substances in the groundwater.

Recycling of Glass

Old glass easily converted into new glass jars and bottles or other glass products such as fiberglass insulation. And unlike paper, glass jars and bottles can be recycled again and again. Glass does not deteriorate.

It is required the glass to be sorted by color – transparent, green or brown. Once colored the glass cannot become transparent again. Thins means that for the making of transparent jars it can’t be used colored cullets. Ever wondered why some producers use green or brown bottles for the foods and drinks they make? Colored glass protects the sensitive to light foodstuff and beverages.

Rubin has a technological option for recycling glass waste. The Company has a cullet washing system, where washing and separation of waste glass is performed.
To recycling is subjected the company’s own technological waste (Code 10 11 12) and waste of external origin:
– glass containers (bottles and jars) Code 15 01 07, supplied by the systems for separate collection of packaging waste and by the Companies with the subject of activity – collection and transportation of waste.
– household glass (cups, plates, vases, etc.) Code 20 01 02 Glass, window glass, supplied by companies with the subject of activity – collection and transportation of waste.
– glass of electrical and electronic obsolete waste – Code 19 12 05, supplied by an organization for WEEE recovery.
– waste glass other than those mentioned in 10 11 11 Code 10 11 12, supplied by enterprises / companies that produce and / or process glass.
